Alyson Brien


Alyson Brien is a visual artist working in drawing, sculpture, and collage. She studied at Gloucestershire College of Art and Design, MA at Chelsea School of Art and has worked as a sculpture fellow at Ulster Polytechnic, as a visiting artist and lecturer at Cleveland College of Art, and was a senior lecturer for the BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree Course at Leeds Metropolitan University, which is now called the Leeds Beckett University.

Her drawings are influenced by Bruce Nauman’s “From Hand To Mouth” sculpture and include: ‘Slip Through’, ‘Varying According to Something Else’ and ‘Counterweigh’.
